Stacey Mitchell grew up on the Mohawk Territory of Akwesasne, ON. She has been creating and crafting since she was a child.  She developed a passion for sewing after high school, creating traditional regalia and quilts for her customers. While Stacey was creating and designing regalia, she attended Syracuse University, where she graduated with honors. She used her education and cultural knowledge to create a blend of traditional and contemporary garments. She has been an artist at juried art markets in Arizona, New Mexico, Washington DC, Maine, and New York; and participated in fashion shows in New York, Toronto, and France, showcasing her passion for creating contemporary garments with indigenous pride. .
