About Runway For Hope – The Fashion Charity Gala
Runway for Hope Ottawa is an event designed to promote local fashion by providing the public with information about Ottawa’s local fashion industry, as well as providing a forum to introduce the talented local fashion designers and local clothing stores. Proceeds for the upcoming edition will be going to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (C.H.E.O).
Overview:
Runway For Hope Ottawa charity fashion show is aimed at promoting local talent in the beauty and fashion industry. Our focus will be to promote and provide exposure for local talent in the fashion industry. On showcase will be clothing designs from local designers and stores. We will also provide an opportunity for local models to promote their talent by showcasing the local designs. An equally important part of the show is that proceeds will go to supporting a local charity.

The event will be held on Sunday Aug. 11 , 2024 at the Horticulture Building – Lansdowne Park

Description:
The annual charity fashion show event’s focus is to promote local fashion designers in Ottawa while also supporting charities to help make our community a better place. The event promotes local talent in the city by involving models, makeup artists, hairstylists, and fashion designers. Our goal is to make Ottawa Canada’s fashion capital, and this event is tailor made for this purpose. Proceeds from the event go towards the chosen charity of the year after all overhead costs have been removed.
Our organization has been able to work with some very well known companies that have a strong interest in the development of local talent in the fashion industry including: • CTV News, Ottawa Sun, OMNI Television • Richard Robinson Academy • The Bay Hudson Company • Joseph’s Hair Salon – CF Rideau Centre • Fairweather, Sirens, Urban Behavior, TipTop Tailors • Be Unique , Forum , Eclipse We have also worked with several local designers in other various event settings.

Business individuals, Fashion Enthusiasts, Local Fashion Designers, Fashion Design Students, Local Artists, Local Media, Ottawa Community, Tourists Presenters: Select Local Fashion Designers, Local Clothing Stores and Students Designers.
Charity:
We will be tailoring this as a charity fashion show in support of The C.H.E.O Foundation in assisting the doctors, nurses and staff at CHEO who handle well over 500,000 patient/families visits this year.
