Cris Mac is a local visual and applied artist who works out of her own location, The Capelli Club. Cris wanted a place that was able to facilitate her as an artist and allow her to work with others who shared the same vision. As a visual and applied artist Cris works with a variety of medium and media; Clothing and accessory design, painting, installations and makeup artistry. The Capelli Club facilitates hair and makeup specialists in order to support its unique focus on multimedia art within our community. Working alongside a variety of artists who share in a variety of artistic expressions, keeps her inspired and moving towards her goals. Runway for Hope brings so many artists together; Fashion Designers, Photographers, Hair designers and Makeup Artists. As lead Makeup Artist, Cris is excited to bring her 16 years of industry specific experience to the show and design creative new looks with her makeup team

“Originating from Pembroke Ontario, I was able to learn the craft of hair in the comfort of my hometown. After 3 years of being a hairstylist I decided it was time to expand my horizons and made the move to Ottawa Ontario in November 2010.

Currently I am employed full-time at Pierino Scarfo Salon in Westboro. This has proved to be an amazing opportunity to further grow my skills and push my way into the industry.

I live, breathe, sweat and bleed for this everyday. When I’m not behind a chair I am constantly consumed by hair, art, fashion…anything that will increase my creativity. Hairstyling isn’t just a job to me, it’s a lifestyle.”
